AFTER CARE PROGRAM:

We pride ourselves on our after-care service. Our comprehensive and extensive post-operative care programme is included in the cost of your treatment so there are no unpleasant surprises. The programme serves to ensure that your recovery is as swift and problem free as possible:

Our comprehensive aftercare is the best in the business and, in particular the r aftercare policy for all our plastic surgery procedures , so we will give you the reassurance that you will receive the very best care both before, during and after your operation with us.

Before your surgeon discharges you from hospital you will be given an instruction sheet explaining what to do and what to avoid doing following your operation.

You may be given medication to take during the following week.

You will also be given an "on-call" number of a member of the clinical team in the event of a medical query out of hours.

An appointment will be made for your sutures to be removed, and a check of the wounds, the timing of which will be dependent upon the procedure you have undergone.

An appointment will also need to be made by you for your first review assessment. Thereafter periodic assessments will be made over the following months. It is a necessary part of your post-operative recovery programme to attend review appointments. Obviously the number of post-operative appointments will be determined by your own recovery. You must follow the surgeon's advice on this matter to ensure the best possible recovery.

Follow the post-operative instructions given to you by our medical team very carefully.

It is important that you allow yourself sufficient time for recovery. Rest is clearly important to this process. However, it is vital that you remain relatively active following your operation. DO NOT RETREAT TO YOUR BED.
